Laura – Owner/Dance Instructor

Laura has danced at Kaleidoscope Dance Studio from pre-school to a senior in high school. From there she attended MSU-Mankato and was a captain for the award-winning MSU Dance Team. Laura has been a dance instructor since 1997, owned the studio since 2004, and loves being a small business owner in the community she grew up in. She is a mother of three and is proud to have her two daughters in dance. 

Lexi VanOrnum - Instructor

Lexi started dancing at Kaleidoscope at the age of 6, beginning her journey as a dancer before stepping into a teaching role. For more than 10 years, she has shared her passion for dance with students of all ages including both recreation and competition dance.

Known for her high-energy, positive approach, Lexi strives to create an environment where her students develop a lifelong love of dance, meaningful friendships, and an understanding of the value of patience, dedication, and practice. One of her favorite parts of teaching is watching dancers grow not only as performers, but also as confident and capable individuals.

As both a former Kaleidoscope dancer and current instructor, Lexi is proud to continue giving back to the studio that has been such an important part of her life!

Heidi - Instructor

Miss Heidi comes to us with 17 years of studio instruction experience in all dance styles from preschool to compmetition. She also shares the same passion for dance as our other great KDS instructors! 

Caitlin - Instructor

Miss Caitlin began dancing with Chanhassen Dance & Performing Arts Center where she competed in various competitions across the country for 12 years. Focusing in tap, jazz, contemporary, and ballet/pointe, Caitlin has been instructing dancers across the Twin Cities for 18 years. She has also been blessed with opportunities to learn from talented dancers from around the world, and complete residencies at the Institute for the Rhythmic Arts in Chicago, IL. Welcome to KDS Caitlin! 

Sandy – Office Administrator/Ultimate Dance Mom

Sandy is Laura’s mother and has been a Dance Mom since 1986 and has entered the world of Dance Grandma. She has been the Office Administrator since 2004 and is the backbone to our studio. 

Jessica - Choreographer/Instructor

Jessica grew up dancing at KDS since the age of 3 with an additional background in gymnastics. Jessica then transitioned from being a student to a teacher.  While teaching at KDS she worked with both recreational classes and the competition teams. Her favorite style of dance is Hip Hop, while she is now living in the twin cities, she is still an active part of the studio. 

Jamee- Choreographer/Instructor

Jamee grew up dancing since the age of 12. While she found it later in life, she fell in love with the art and KDS became her second home. She attended MSU Mankato where she was on the hockey cheer team and minored in dance. Jamee coached competitive and recreational jazz, tap, and ballet classes for over ten years at Kaleidoscope and other studios. She is excited to work with the new generation of KDS dancers!
